Hi there! Welcome to Lucky Penny Interiors! I am a wife, lawyer, design and DIY enthusiast and avid crafter. I live in Salem, Massachusetts with my husband, Scott, our French bulldog, Marcus and our three huge cats: Mario, Earl “FatFat” Grey, and Beef “Wellie” Wellington. Scott and I have been slowly renovating our builder-grade condo over the last few years. We also recently purchased a fixer-upper consisting of two rentable units. Follow along as we make our house a home and DIY renovate our rental property!

Why “Lucky Penny”?

When I was little my Grampa used to tell me to always look out for lucky (i.e., “heads-up”) pennies on the ground. If I found one, he told me to keep it in my shoe for the day and it would bring me good luck. When I met my husband, he told me that when he used to wrestle in high school, he would always try to find a lucky penny before every match and if he found one, he would carry it in his shoe during his match for good luck. I’d never heard of anyone else having this strange superstition, but I know my Grampa and Scott would have been great friends if they ever had the chance to meet in this life. Grampa, if you’re watching, we are still looking for lucky pennies and thinking of you.
